Job description

Location: St Osyth, Clacton-on-Sea, CO16 8HB

Hours: Full-time – 42 hours per week (Monday to Sunday, rota basis). Including a mixture of daytime and occasional evening shifts.

Pay: £12.71 – £13.21 per hour (depending on qualifications)

About the Service

 

Wellwick House is a 6-bed residential service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and asperges syndrome.  The service provides a safe, structured and person-centred environment where individuals are supported to build independence, develop daily living skills and achieve their personal goals.

 

People we support enjoy a range of activities within the service and in the community, including going to the theatre, college, swimming and going out for tea helping them to stay engaged, active and connected.

 

About the Role

 

As a Driver/Activity Support Worker, you’ll empower adults with learning disabilities, autism, ABI and mental health needs to live life their way.

 
 

You'll: 

  • Safely drive the people we support to appointments, activities, college and community outings using company vehicles.
  • Support individuals to participate in activities that promote wellbeing, independence and personal development.
  • Encourage choice, confidence and independence in everyday life.
  • Assist with planning and participating in meaningful activities based on individual interests.
  • Provide practical support during outings, ensuring people remain safe, comfortable and engaged.
  • Assist with daily living activities where required, including cooking, shopping and social outings.
  • Follow clear processes and individual support plans to ensure we provide safe and consistent support.

Pay Structure

  • Entry Level – £12.71 per hour
  • NVQ Level 2 completed – £12.96 per hour
  • NVQ Level 3 completed – £13.21 per hour

  • NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Social Care
  • Previous care experience
