Job description
Job Title: Finance Administrator
Salary: £26,000 Per Annum
Location: Swansea, Wales (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This role is suited to a recent student, who has a strong passion for a career in finance. The position is administrative, mostly using Outlook & Excel day-to-day. Reporting into the Group Finance Manager - Costing & Fees, you will provide administrative support to the Fee Team including maintaining Customer records, regularly liaising with Funding Authorities and following up on outstanding actions both internally and externally
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support to the annual uplift process and legacy fees reviews
- Monitoring Fee Team mailbox and actioning according to Group process
- Retaining an accurate record of actions taken and highlighting actions required when due
- Maintaining Customer database and ensuring it is up-to-date with regular review
- Regularly contacting funding authorities to gather information and support in building relationships
- Escalating issues/challenges through correct internal processes
- Following up on actions both internally and externally in a structured manner to gain timely responses
- Liaising with Support Functions and Operations and supporting with query resolution
- Managing diaries and scheduling meetings both internally and externally
- Oversee internal record keeping and filing paperwork, documents and computer-based information
- Supporting with data cleanse and collation
Key Skills and Experience:
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Pro-active ‘can do’ attitude
- Good attention to detail and investigative skills
- Good number skills and prior experience of using Microsoft suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Good communication skills with ability to manage relationships externally and internally
- Ability to work cross functionally with both finance and non-finance
- Excellent attention to detail and analysis skills
- You'll be confident to provide healthy challenge and partner effectively with your key stakeholders
