Location: Clacton-on-Sea, CO16 9BB (Dual-Site)
Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Service – Mill Lane, Weeley Heath
Our newly renovated residential care home is designed for young adults aged 18–25 with autism and complex needs. With modern interiors, ensuite bedrooms (some with kitchenettes), a large garden, and a shared sensory bathroom, it's a warm and vibrant environment where individuals are supported on their journey toward independence.
Mill Lane encourages active, fulfilling lifestyles with regular activities such as swimming, dancing, and trips to Center Parcs. Located just outside Clacton town centre with excellent public transport links (Weeley station is a 10-minute walk), it’s easily accessible for both staff and visitors.
Your Role
As the Registered Manager, you will:
Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our services
Inspire and manage a team of dedicated support workers
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality care
Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and the wider community
Report to the Area Manager and contribute to the strategic development of the service
What You’ll Need
Proven leadership and management experience in the social care sector
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or willingness to work towards it)
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and best practices
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Experience managing budgets, resources, and staffing effectively
Commitment to person-centred support, inclusion, and continuous improvement
