We’re opening Ty Heulog, a brand-new 32-bed nursing home in Cardiff, in summer 2026 and we’re looking for a confident, compassionate Unit Lead to help shape the service from day one.
At ivolve, we’re one of the UK’s largest adult social care providers – and proudly named a Sunday Times Best Place to Work 2024 & 2025. We’re all about person-centred care, positive energy, and creating places people truly love to call home.
What you’ll do:
You’ll lead and support a team caring for adults with complex needs, including dementia, Huntington’s disease, complex neurological needs, acquired brain injuries and mental health needs. You’ll make sure people feel safe, respected and truly at home — empowering them to make choices, build life skills and live fulfilling lives.
You’ll provide hands-on support when needed, oversee care plans, manage day-to-day operations in the manager’s absence, and keep standards high through great leadership, planning and teamwork. Most importantly, you’ll champion person-led care and co-production with the people we support.
Skills & Experience Needed:
NMC registration as an adult, mental health or learning disability nurse and experience as a nurse in a care home setting.
Evidence of post registration qualifications and CPD.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Approachable, respectful, confidential and transparent.
Adaptable, solutions-focused, and committed to high-quality care.
Confident using electronic care planning, medication and compliance systems.
