Role Responsibilities

*  Planning, marketing, and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of the ARC.

*  Exploring innovative ways to offer a variety of vocational training and employment services, tailored to the individual’s need for work readiness, or a job in the community.

*  Developing new business as well as the services currently provided.

*  Leading a team to deliver a professional service which provides a safe and supportive environment to nurture lifelong learning of the people we support and developing their skills for independence and quality of life.

*   To plan, direct, market and oversee the operations and fiscal health of the Activities and Resource Centre. The manager is required to seek out and take advantage of new business opportunities and lead the development of the services provided. 

*   To maintain, create and develop work systems to meet the needs of the growing business whilst working within the policies and procedures of the company. To encourage optimum performances of its people and the other resources within the Centre. 

*   To achieve outcomes for growth in line with the company strategy supported by the HR, H&S, L&D departments and the Senior Management team 

*   To provide effective leadership in the delivery of a professional service which provides a safe and supportive environment which is also dedicated to a personalized approach to delivery of services which supports “lifelong learning” and “purposeful occupation” whilst supporting the development of skills which are required for independence and quality of life. 

*   Access innovative ways to achieve the development of new business via marketing networking and business development planning. 

*  Utilise a dynamic approach to advertising services and create a network of customer contacts and partnerships 

*  Provide effective performance feedback through employee supervision, induction and probation, rewards and disciplinary action with the assistance of the HR department where necessary 

*  Maintain employee work schedules, including rota’s for contractual hours, training/development, vacations, and absenteeism whilst ensuring that business needs are met. 

*  Communicate effectively with other department managers and house managers to ensure that service provision meets customer needs and that business outcomes can be met and fully understood. 

*  Assists with company-wide process of organization & development addressing issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management.

The main skills and experience for this role 

Essential  

*   Good general education 

  • Confident IT user  

*   Knowledge of the regulatory framework of the service provision including the Care Standards Act 2000, CIW/CQC, Health and Social Care Act. 

*  Mandatory training qualifications e.g., fire safety, first aid, food hygiene, manual handling, and Health & Safety awareness.

*   Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness and a passion to make a difference 

*   Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve 

*   Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable) 

*   A commitment to undertake training and development 

Desirable  

*   RQF Level 3 or above in social care (or must be willing to work towards and achieve a minimum of Level 5 within a given timescale). 

*   Knowledge of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework 

*   Previous experience within a managerial role i.e., team leader, assistant manager.  

*   Driver or good access to various transport to support moving between locations and ability to attend required meetings.

 Salary 

£35,000 per annum  

40 hours per week
