The Role
We are looking for a Head of Business Development to join our team and support ivolve’s ambitious growth plans.
You will have experience in a similar role within health and/or social care and will lead a team of Business Development Partners to identify new opportunities for ivolve to support more people and benefit more lives.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the ideal candidate will be commercially astute, customer focussed and be able to lead a diverse team. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards and Housing Providers as well as maintain key relationships with peers and colleagues.
We are looking for someone who can develop systems to monitor market intelligence, analyse data and report on trends, as well as the ability to produce high quality market scoping reports.
Role Overview
- Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify and assess new market opportunities and trends in the care sector.
- Create and manage a pipeline of potential new schemes and partnerships.
- Partnership Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, healthcare providers, and community organisations.
- Negotiate and secure contracts and agreements with new partners and clients.
- Client Acquisition
- Lead initiatives to attract and enrol people we support who require our care services.
- Develop targeted outreach programs to engage potential people we support and their families.
- Innovation and Scheme Development
- Identify and develop innovative care schemes and programs that meet the evolving needs of our people we support.
- Collaborate with the care delivery team to ensure new schemes are effectively integrated and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and mentor the business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Set performance targets and provide regular feedback and support to team members.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and analyse the performance of business development initiatives, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Adjust strategies based on performance data and market feedback.

Skills and Experience
Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the healthcare or social care sector.
Strong understanding of the care sector, including regulatory requirements and market dynamics.
Ability to travel as needed.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
An understanding of the Social, Political and Regulatory landscape that influence the market
Excellent communication and influencing skills
An appropriate professional qualification and or a minimum of 5 years sector experience at Management Level
