Job Title: Housekeeping Lead
Salary: £24,950 Per Annum

To oversee the Domestic Services department, supervising the Housekeeping Supervisor and Domestic Assistants. Responsible for allocating workloads, maintaining schedules, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and compliance with company policies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct regular visits to all homes to ensure cleanliness standards and adherence to company policies.
* Attend HR meetings to address sickness, leave, attendance, and employment changes.
* Participate in recruitment: attend interviews, arrange trial shifts, and conduct induction training.
* Ensure COSHH compliance: deliver training, review data sheets, and design risk assessments.
* Design and maintain 24-week training booklets; provide ongoing training as needed.
* Collaborate with service managers and infection control to meet cleanliness standards.
* Implement and communicate safe systems of work for all domestic tasks.
* Maintain and update cleaning schedules in line with company standards.
* Monitor stock levels and costs for laundry and cleaning supplies; ensure budget compliance.
* Review domestic staffing ratios to meet home requirements.
* Manage annual leave for domestic staff with HR support.
* Conduct environmental audits to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
* Action health and safety reports and inspection recommendations in a timely manner.
* Attend corporate health and safety meetings and follow up on action plans.
* Conduct regular supervision and annual appraisals for the Housekeeping Supervisor.
* Organize and document domestic department meetings; share minutes with relevant managers.
* Support new developments/refurbishments: plan layouts, select furnishings, and prepare rooms for new service users.
* Attend additional meetings related to the domestic department as required.
