Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week

Reports to: Group Payroll Manager

Location: Chesterfield

ivolve are currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as Payroll Supervisor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the regional payroll team, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of colleagues while providing essential support to the Group Payroll Manager in implementing system and process enhancements. Role Responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing the payroll teams and managing workloads
  • Familiarisation of new software and processes and training the team
  • Processing the payroll from start to finish within specific timeframes including new starters, leavers, contract and detail changes, statutory payments, court orders, RTI and auto-enrolment,
  • Importing and exporting payroll data and production and development of new payroll reports
  • Obtaining relevant approvals
  • Resolving payroll related queries
  • Endorsing legislative compliance
  • Reviewing and reconciling payroll outputs to ensure accuracy
  • Working with key stakeholders to review payrolls and maintain high standards of communication
  • Other tasks arising from the payroll transformation

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years payroll experience and understanding of payroll systems, experience in Sage an advantage but not essential
  • Supervisory experience at a senior level with a can-do attitude   
  • Proficiency in using software and Excel / MS Office applications
  • Adaptable, flexible, open to and accepting of change affecting you and your area of work and deal with that change efficiently and professionally
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to multi-task
  • Customer-focussed approach and desire to create an excellent service
  • Ability to carry out duties with integrity and in a confidential manner
  • Currently working on a payroll with a minimum headcount of 1500 people
  • The ideal candidate will have been involved in a payroll software change
