Vacancy Location: Ty Cwm Gwendraeth, Llannon Road, Upper Tumble, Llanelli SA14 6BU

Shifts: Full-time 38 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis)

Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour

Based at Ty Cwm Gwendraeth, in Llanelli, we provide nursing care for 59 adults over the age of 18. We’re in the beautiful Gwendraeth Valley and offer a modern, homely, and well-equipped environment in a place called home for people with mental health needs, complex neurological needs, acquired brain injuries, and dementia.

 

As our Chef, you will play a vital role in the heart of the home- the kitchen.

 

You’ll prepare fresh, nutritious, home-cooked meals tailored to individual needs and preferences, consulting with colleagues to plan varied menus that meet dietary requirements, including guidance from SALT and other professionals.

 

This role offers:

*       10- hour shifts between 8am and 6pm

*       4 days per week (38 hours per week)

*       Alternative weekends working

*       Autonomy to suggest and lead themed food events and special celebration days

*       The opportunity to create and manage an annual events calendar

What You Will Do

*       Create and serve delicious, home-style meals designed around individual tastes and wellbeing needs

*       Lead and support kitchen colleagues to maintain high standards

*       Ensure all food hygiene, Health & Safety and relevant regulations are met

You are:

You have:

 

*       At least 2 years cooking experience

*       Knowledge of dietary requirements in care environments
