Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of ensuring our financial operations run smoothly, efficiently, and accurately.

What you will be doing

In this varied and hands-on role, you will:

  • Take ownership of supplier ledgers across 9 entities, maintaining accuracy and integrity at all times
  • Review and verify invoices, ensuring correct documentation and approvals before processing
  • Oversee accurate input of data and supplier information into financial systems
  • Manage payment runs in a timely and cash effective manner
  • Take ownership of payment planning and collaborate with the Group Financial Controller on cash flow forecasting
  • Perform statement reconciliations and maintain well-managed, up to date supplier accounts
  • Work closely with the Management Accounts team to ensure accurate cost allocation
  • Monitor and manager the Accounts Payable inbox, responding promptly to queries and maintaining excellent relationships
  • Support audits and financial reporting requirements
  • Drive process improvements and play a key role in embedding system changes and implementations

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a positive, solutions-focused mindset:

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable, including team leadership
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and financial integrity
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and financial systems (Sage is highly desirable)
  • A proactive approach with a passion for improving processes and driving efficiencies
  • Strong customer service skills when dealing with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable managing change

Desirable experience

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment

If you are an experienced leader who enjoys bringing structure, improving processes, and making a real impact, we would love to hear from you.
