Job description

Location:  Halstead, CO9 1LR

Shifts: Full Time 42 hours per week 8pm - 8am (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis with alternating weekends)

Pay Rate: £12.71 – £13.21 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

Please note we don't provide sponsorship and sleep in shifts are also available as an option.

About the Service

You will be based at one of our residential or supported living  homes within a friendly community of eight services located next to each other in a beautiful countryside setting in Halstead. Each home offers a warm, cottage-style and homely environment.

Homes vary from small homes to larger services. We support adults with a range of needs, from those who are more independent to those requiring full support, some individuals require personal care.

All services regularly come together for activities and events. While you will have a main base, you may occasionally work across other homes on the same site. Parking is available, though public transport is limited. A driving licence isn’t always required, but drivers may need to drive people we support using service cars.

Role Overview

*       You’ll support adults with lots of different needs such as learning disabilities, autism, ABI and mental health

*       You’ll support them to flourish in a place they call home. You’ll empower the people we support to be ambitious and live fulfilled lives

*       You’ll give high-quality support tailored to people’s needs

*       You’ll do activities like cooking, art or listening to music. And get out for movie nights and food outings

*       There is of course practical support too and helping people to reach their goals in smaller ways. You’ll manage medication, shopping, health needs and hygiene as well as keep things tidy and safe

*       And of course, you’ll follow our procedures, so we give consistent, safe, and reliable care and support

 

Key Skills and Experience

 

Essential

*       Good general education

*       Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference

*       Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve

*       Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)

*       A commitment to undertake training and development

 

Desirable

*       RQF Level 2 or above in social care

*       Previous experience within social care setting

*       Knowledge and commitment regarding Equal Opportunities

*       Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks

*       Confident IT user
